There are many different types of Stern displays floating around, and I've only seen a couple of them, and neither were marked very well with part numbers. So, if your Stern display looks like this or this, then I can assure you the parts in this kit are the proper components. If you have a different display, then I can not promise anything and you buy this kit at your own risk. They probably are the right components, but since I've never looked at any other Stern displays, I can not say for sure.

Bally/Stern Display Driver Resistor Kit

If your Stern display driver has 100K Ohm, 1/4 Watt resistors for R1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and R11, here's a kit of 1/2 Watt replacements. Often the 1/4 Watt size is just not enough and they get stressed and damaged. Replacing them with 1/2 Watters will make your displays better and may just solve your problems. Even if your displays are working fine, it's still a good idea to upgrade them to the 1/2 Watt size.

This kit contains 40 resistors, enough to upgrade all 5 of your displays, or stock up and buy 100.

Some folks don't need the 0.002uF, 3KV capacitors for their Stern SDU solenoid driver, and unless there's obvious signs of stress, or they're swollen or missing, you probably don't need to replace them. So here's another kit with plenty of driver transistors and the associated resistors and diodes, plus an additional 10 diodes for coils and such, but no capacitors.

I've seen a couple different Stern High Voltage regulators so if yours looks like this, then this is the kit for you. The thing to look for is a fuse, and only one 1N4004 diode (CR21) If yours does not look like this, then try the High Volt Regulator Kit #2 below.

You may purchase this kit with or without a fuse. Also, if you want a fuse, you can get it with either the original 8AG fuse, or if your board has been modified to hold standard size fuses, you can get it with a 3AG fuse.
