kits.
Note: Pictures may not reflect actual components you will receive. Physical
characteristics may be different. Also, due to the nature of electronic components,
we can not accept returns on any repair kit ordered. In other words, all sales

We're assuming you have the knowledge and skills needed to install these kits,
and that you are aware of the risks and dangers associated with working on electrical

Bally/Stern 6-Digit Display Driver Kit
There are many different types of Stern displays floating around, and I've only seen a couple of them, and neither were marked very well with part numbers. So, if your Stern display looks like this or this, then I can assure you the parts in this kit are the proper components. If you have a different display, then I can not promise anything and you buy this kit at your own risk. They probably are the right components, but since I've never looked at any other Stern displays, I can not say for sure.

Stern 5-Volt Regulator Kit #1
I've seen a couple different Stern 5-Volt regulators so if yours looks like this, then this is the kit for you. The thing to look for is two disk capacitors for C22 and C29, and an axial ceramic capacitor for C25. If yours does not look like this, then try the 5-Volt Regulator Kit #2, below.

I've seen a couple different Stern High Voltage regulators so if yours looks like this, then this is the kit for you. The thing to look for is a fuse, and only one 1N4004 diode (CR21) If yours does not look like this, then try the High Volt Regulator Kit #2 below.
You may purchase this kit with or without a fuse. Also, if you want a fuse, you can get it with either the original 8AG fuse, or if your board has been modified to hold standard size fuses, you can get it with a 3AG fuse.

Used on the following Stern games: Meteor, Galaxy, Ali, Big Game, Seawitch, Cheetah,
Quicksilver, Star Gazer, Nine Ball,
Iron Maiden, Viper, and Dragon Fist.
Flight 2000, Free Fall, Lightning, Split Second, Catacomb and Orbitor 1 also use VS-100 Speech board

Here's a nice set of high quality capacitors custom made for Big Daddy Enterprises. This kit contains all the sound related electrolytic capacitors
on your
Stern SB-300
Sound board. Some of these
capacitors are rated at a higher voltage than the originals but will work fine.
If your sounds are fuzzy, weak, or sound is nonexistent, this may fix your problem.

Includes the following:
You may want to check your 9 pin .156 header row at J2 and J3. Many of the boards I've examined
have slight
burn
marks
from power stress at J2 (12 volts). Order on the .156 connector page (order the 10 pin and snip off the extra).

Here's a nice set of high quality capacitors which you can use to replace all the sound related electrolytic capacitors
on your
Stern VSU-100
Speech board. Some of these
capacitors are rated at a higher voltage than the originals but will work fine.
If your speech is fuzzy, weak, or speech is nonexistent, this may fix your problem.
Be aware the S14001A chip is rare and near impossible to find, be careful.
Includes the following:
* I chose Tantalums because of stock, but they also have a better life. Please note the small + sign showing polarity.
** Schematics show 470uf, two examples show 1500uf
